The International Medical Corps (IMC) began working towards the response to and prevention of Gender Based Violence (GBV) in Nepal since June 2015. During the first phase of the project (June 2015- December 2015), IMC implemented the project titled “Love Campaign” in two of the most affected districts i.e. Gorkha and Dhading under the direct supervision and monitoring of a Non-Governmental Organization, the Women’s Rehabilitation Center (WOREC), Nepal. The project in Dhading was implemented by Sahayatri Samaj (SS) Nepal under the supervision and monitoring of WOREC. Five targeted VDCs were selected for Dhading. Specific site selection for Sneha Kendra resulted in WOREC securing temporary land and established safe spaces in five locations there.
The evaluation assessed the level of performance and achievement of project results, effectiveness of strategies used, and relevance of interventions, overall efficiency, sustainability and outcomes.
