The overall goal of the two projects was to strengthen the resilience and self-recovery of children and their communities mostly affected by earthquake in Sindhupalchowk district.
The Korea I Comprehensive Education Recovery Project in Sindhupalchowk was started in Feb, 2016 and ended in October 2017. The Korea I project had both hardware and software activities like school construction/repair, distribution of education materials, psychosocial training/counseling, promotion and strengthening of child clubs, police cell, child friendly learning and teaching activities etc.
The Korea II Health and WASH Support Project in Sindhupalchowk was started on February, 2016 and ended on January, 2017. The Korea II project improved access to Health service to the affected communities in Sindhupalchowk through hardware and software initiatives. Similarly, WASH component had water and sanitation construction and promotional activities.
