Plan International is committed to ensuring that every child completes a quality, inclusive education without discrimination or exclusion. Plan International Nepal and its partner organization CEEPARD implemented a project ‘Hami Sangasangai’ for the period from January 2017 to October 2017 in Dolakha. The project was implemented in support of DFAT project in Dolakha with the objective to increase the enrolment of disabled children and Dalit girls. The objective was to increase awareness of the community people on rights of children with disabilities and Dalit girls.

In this context, the status mapping identified the incidences of disabled and Dalit students in the community and thereby, design and cater to the special needs of those children in order to make education inclusive for them.  The project was implemented in three VDCs of Dolakha district; Sunkhani, Bhusapeda and Bhumishwor. The study explored into understanding the underlying challenges in availability and accessibility of inclusive education among Children with Disabilities (CWD) and Dalit girls.
